Dune 2 didn't surpass my expectations but it is still amazing to watch.

Now, more than ever, the cinema experience is pivotal to studios. Dune is one of those movies that really serves well the big screen because of it's sheer scale and magnitude. That said, the theater experience IS getting worse. I went with my brother and we had to deal with a cellphone message 'ping' quite a few times AND there was a nasty fly on the projector which just kept destroying that "sense of immersion" we so much look for.

That said, the movie was good. Because I already knew the story from the original back in the 80's, it didn't suprise me, but I was hoping to see something really outlandish in this version that... well, it didn't happen. Also, the build up of Paul Atreides into Lisan Al-Ghalib (aka The One) was much, MUCH better done in other movies, like in The Matrix. Here the character seems to know exactly what it is but "pretends" not to be it. The battle at the end is big, noisy and foggy (a now trademark shot of Dennis Villeneuve, the director), and we can expect a Dune 3 - Messiah is what they are calling it, in the future.

That way, for the first time in cinema history we will have the entire book series relegated to celuloid, and I cannot wait for it. Recommended!

Next Goal Wins is a nice comedy based on true events.

The trailer makes us think that it is about an underdog football team, which it is, but there is also a heavy trangender sidestory, which... look, it's not my fav, but it really doesn't hurt the movie. Actually, I think it kinda helps making it stand out, but for that reason I cannot say that it is for everyone.

HOWEVER, if you keep an open mind and just want a good time, then yes. This does the job. Michael Fassbender is great at giving out puns and loosing his mind, and there is a very emotional moment at the end that really captures the essence of the entire movie.

The movie is my Taita Wiki so it will have some "particulars" in his comedy that work for the most part, but not in every part. Still, deserves a look.

Blue Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati Saga really has nothing wrong with it but has I write this I am struggling to find anything really good about it that stands out as a "must see".

The story, has the title says, had the secret religious society The Illuminati in it, but they're introduced very late in the series and do very little in it. I mean, most of it is just about school life but there are a few fights in the end. However, they/this are so lack luster that they really don't stand out in anyway. Furthermore, the story has doublecrossing and twists that make no sense and we are left with an impression of unease about where are the autors taking the main story, the characters (and I say plurar because the show seems to be missing a real "main" protagonist) and their arcs. It is no wonder Blue Exorcist has fallen from grace long ago, but I was really hoping this would revive my interest on the series. Sadly it didn't.

Not bad, by any means, but also not something you should take time out of your life to see. Disappointed.

Before addressing Metallic Rouge, let me just say that it is funny I watched "Tekkaman Blade 2" and "Iczer-1" and THEM Metallic Rouge because bioarmors seems to be on the rave.

I gotta admit I liked the design back in the 80's better, with broad shoulders and big weapons, but I gotta concede that the ones now have more refined design and are way better animated. So, this is a show that envolves 2 alien races that are on Earth, one protecting Visitors, one attacking Usurpers (just like Iczer-1), but we see very little of each because ALL the fighting is done by Neans. Kinda cyborgs created by humans with alien technology (see!? Just like Tekkaman). The main protagonist is actually looking and assassinating rogue Neans with the help of the First Nean.

The story is good with several interesting characters and a twist at the end. The action is ok for the most part but the ones in the first couple of episodes and last episode really stand out. The bad part is the the middle episodes seem to slow down and die down a lot on the action (except for a hall scene that has not exactly action but some of the best animation for casual scenes I ever saw).

That said, I did enjoy it and if you have the time, you can see just the begining and the end that you'll still undertstand everything and see all the best bits.

Tekkaman Blade 2 is something I remember seeing on TV when I was young. I do not know if it was 1 or 2 but I feel in love with the mecha design, so I just had to see this one.

This is the compilation of what I think where 6 OVA (Original Video Animations) that deliver 2h30m of entertainment. The story has two halfs: one is the actual fight against the aliens, and the other is the fight among themselves. This leads to some romantic triangles that never really get resolved and I didn't like that. I like closure in my series/movies. That said, this is from the guys that did Fatal Fury and I already loved that one, so I did enjoy this. The battles, the armors, the movement, the action, the colors, all where very nostalgic, but still hold up to today's standards.

SO if you are a fan, I definitelly recommend cheking it out. And even if you are not, and you just like anime, it still deserves a look.
